You are kindly invited to the online workshop titled “Publishing Research in International Journals” by Prof. Dr. Menelaos Gkartzios, which will take place on Wednesday, April 16th, 2025, at 14:30.
This workshop explores what makes a competitive and well-structured paper for an international journal. Participants will gain insights into key publication metrics (such as impact factors, h-index, and altmetrics) and their significance for academic visibility and career progression. The session will also provide guidance on selecting the right journal for your research, managing authorship expectations (including co-authorship decisions), and effectively responding to reviewers’ and editors’ comments. Additionally, we will discuss common pitfalls in the publishing process and strategies to navigate them successfully.
To contribute to the discussion, participants are encouraged to share their own experiences of submitting work to an elite journal – whether leading to rejection, major revisions, or acceptance – to help unpack the practices that can lead to publication.
